Delete your account

You can request permanent deletion of your Manuscript account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to request it, what is removed, and how long it takes.

Two ways to delete

You can either delete your account entirely, or delete your content while keeping your account (for example, to start fresh). Both are available directly in the app:

In the app (fastest): go to Account → Profile → Danger zone and choose “Delete my data” (removes your documents, files, and AI history but keeps your account) or “Delete account” (removes everything). Account deletion asks you to type DELETE to confirm, then signs you out.

By email: if you can't sign in, email support@eliteainway.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” Requesting from your own address lets us verify ownership without a password; we then delete the account and its data.

What gets deleted

Deletion is permanent and removes all of the following:

Your account and profile (email, name, sign-in credentials).
Every document you created, including their full version history and backups.
All uploaded and captured files (PDFs, images, slides, page captures, transcripts).
Your AI history — conversations, Deep Research sessions and reports, Study Guides, and the record of AI actions.
Notification subscriptions, usage records, folders, and all other data tied to your account.

Both the database records and the stored files are erased.

What may be retained

Payment records held by our payment processor (Polar) may be retained by them as required for tax, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes. These are managed under the processor's own policy, not stored in Manuscript after deletion.
Routine server logs may persist for a short period before rotating out; they are not used to reconstruct a deleted account.

How long it takes

We process deletion requests promptly — typically within a few days, and within 30 days at the latest. You'll receive a confirmation once your account and data have been removed.

This is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, your documents, files, and history cannot be recovered. If you'd like to keep a copy, export your documents (to Word or PDF) before requesting deletion.
